Jeep Repair: 91 wrangler loud ticking, timing chain cover, rubber hose

 I have  a 91  wrangler  and  the engine  sounds  like   a timex , My oil pressure  is great and  when I acclerate  the sounds  seems  like  it goes away .  some  one  told  me  it sounds  like  the timing  chain  could  have slop .    It  has  a  four  cylinder  and it's  a five  speed   with  90  k  if that helps .  any  help would  be  greatly  aprieciated  ,

There are a couple of hundred parts in your Jeep that could be causing noise.  Have someone with a piece of rubber hose up to their ear while it is running, explore different areas of the engine to see if they can determine exactly where the noise is coming from.  If it coming from the timing chain cover area, I would agree with the previous diagnosis.
