hi John, the defrost/heating is suddenly not working on my 97 discovery. any ideas?

Hi Monica,

check the fuses:

in driver footwell, main fuse #15; satellite 1 fuse #6 (below main section fuse box);
in engine compartment fusebox, fuses #1 and 3, and main circuit fuse #12.  

I had problems with the blower switch the turned out to be a relay problem.

Never scrape ice from interior taildoor glass - those defrost threads can cause all sorts of electrical problems, even rear door lock - weird or what?
