Land Rover Repair: Discovery 2 center diff lock system, discovery 2, rovers north

Hello John. My Disco 2 2002 Facelift Auto Td5 did not come with the center
diff lock that you could lock . Now I can buy one from a Disco 2 2002 ( early
model ) that has the center diff lock system ( which aparently is the leaver
with a wire ) so I was wondering if I could install it myself?

If you could maybe give me step by step guide how to do it.

A step by step guide is more than I can do here.  In the United States, places like Rovers North sell the kits with instructions.  You can also go to Land Rover's official support website, www.landrovertechinfo.com and buy a day's access to print the instructions.

However, it's not a technically complex job, nor does it require special tools or electronics.  It's just a lot of work.
