Land Rover Repair: 2000 Discovery II - Headlight Issues, column switch, low beam

Thanks in advance for your assistance on this, have seen many issues regarding headlights. I recently changed one of my headlights and not long after that, they actually stopped working on low-beam. High-beam works as long as I hold the handle while driving. Checked the fuses and relays to no avail. Do I have an actual sterring column switch issue or should I look at something else. Found many blogs with re-wiring suggestions, yet I would prefer to get to the fact of the matter, not a work around. Thanks again!

It sounds like the turn signal/dimmer switch has failed.  Did you fit higher power bulbs?  That often melts the switches.  Next step is a new switch from the sound of things.
