Land Rover Repair: eas, heigth, scan tools
QuestionGood day, I have a p-38 95 hse 4.6 I replaced some parts of air suspension,It worked ok for a while but now every few days I get a fault and suspension locks , i used the unlock program many times even changed one heigth sensor i suspected but got the problem again and the fault code is exesive high presure code 84. What is 84 stands for? After I changed the one heigth sensor the ride seams softer but now I am not sure.
Another question regarding the remote control. It does not operate anymore. Can I change the remote reciever and fix the problem? I allready tried all normal prosedures.
Thank you
AnswerI have no idea what code you are getting. The Land Rover test systems I use give text descriptions, like "pressure switch not changing state." I suggest you direct this query to whoever sold you the tool to retrieve it.
One of the reasons factory-level scan tools cost so much is that they spell out what a code is, and then tell you what to do about it. On our tester, we'd get a text description of a fault, and then a list of tests to perform to find out what caused the problem. So the tester is not just a dumb devive for fetcing code numbers; it actually leads you to a solution.
The code retriever you have must be backed up by some kind og documentation or tech support . . . that's where you need to go next
