QuestionFor some reason The website is not letting me ask a follow up question so I've come back here.
My mechanic put in "BG" auto tran s conditioner and flushed fluid. He also swapped another sensor.
What would you do addtionally to correct "red warning temp trans oil light" ?
If the transmission was sent out to RF in Connecticut what is cost to repair/replace and is there a warranty
My phone is might be easier
AnswerI do not know what I'd do with the warning light without seeing the vehicle and evaluating the actual conditions. Overhaul of the transmission - if needed - would cost from $1,500 to $3,000 depending upon the damage inside. The upper end of the price range is what a factory exchange unit costs, as a point of reference.
Labor to get in in and out is probably under $1000 but some time might be spent in diagnosis.
I would not jump to the conclusion that you haev transmission failure without seeing the vehicle, though.
