QuestionTook my Range Rover for service because the air conditioning was not blowing
cold air. Thought I would need freon and instead the dealer claims it is a $2300
repair to fix the condenser and another rusted part. This seems high for a repair
your thoughts.
AnswerWithout knowing the prevailing labor rates in your area, and exactly what parts are needed, there is no way to evaluate value of the number you have.
I will say there are plenty of AC repairs that are costly, and if the car needs a condensor, fans, a drier, and more the number is probably realistic. Just because it's costly does not mean it's wrong.
If you think the dealer is high - and that seems to be what you are saying - you might be able to find an independent in the shop list on www.rangerovers.net
Best of luck with your choice,
