repair advice for an oil leak from flywheel, 98 Disco?

Answer
The most common leaks from the engine are the cam plug above the rear main oil seal and the rubber cross seals on the side of the rear main cap.  These can be replaced with the transmission in position and the oil pan removed.  The rear main seal itself requires the removal of the transmission and the front pump seal in the transmission.
