Land Rover Repair: my LandRover Dicovery 1997 locked, landrover dicovery, door latch

Question
My Land Rover (1997) was left for a while in the garage until the battery died. I recharged the battery but every time I open the door the alarm goes on even after I put the key in the ignition. I won't start at all. So I disconnected the horn to reduce the noise for the neighbor and kept trying for may time but nothing happen. Please help reset this alarm.

Answer
The alarm should reset when you put the key in the driver door and turn it all the way to lock and unlock and then insert in the ignition.  If not, the door latch switch or some other part has failed
