Land Rover Repair: 2004 Range Rover HSE HDC INACTIVE, range rover hse, obd ii scanner
QuestionHello, I am getting the following messages on my 2004 Range Rover HSE: HDC INACTIVE as well as the ABS light is on. Also, I believe that it also said my Suspension is INACTIVE. Can you tell me what this might possibly mean?
AnswerIt means there is a problem with one or more of the sensors that monitor wheel rotation. With that malfunction the antilock brakes and the hill descent control are disabled. Take the vehicle to a dealer or a specialist with the T4 or Autologic system and have them read the faults and discuss repair options. You will not be able to access those systems with a generic OBD II scanner.
Good luck,
John Elder Robison
