Land Rover Repair: Land Rover Discovery II Rear Suspension, land rover discovery, land rover discovery ii
QuestionHello Dennis,
I would like to ask you about the rear suspension on my land rover discovery II adventurer, the near side rear suspension lowered over night. On start-up it returned to normal height and has been okay since. Is it likely to be a recurring fault and if so what can we do to solve it?
Thanks,
Rob
AnswerHi Rob,
That's a leak, most likely in the rubber spring. If it's at the seal to the airline you can grease it to stop the leak, but likely it's a worn spring. the only course of action is replacement, it's best to do them both, if one is leaking the other will be soon. If budget is a concern it is OK to replace just one, but remember the other one will need replaced in the near future.
I have springs listed here:
