QuestionHi ,i have a 95 range rover and my front passenger window wont let up,everytime i touch the button to let it up the message beeps on my dash and say(window not set) the door wont lock on that side also . also i get a message on the dash saying fuse 9 and fuse 22 failed ,do you think that is the problem?
AnswerYou most likely have 3 different problems going on:
1) Start by checking the indicated fuses to be sure they are not burnt out. Otherwise, fuse failures 22 & 9 are probably a BECM (Body Electronic control module) failure. This is usually caused by spilling a drink or other liquid under the front passenger seat, where the module is located.
2) Your window problem is most likely a faulty window regulator.
3) The door lock problem most likely is caused by a faulty door lock actuator. It is possible that the window knocked a wire loose on the door lock actuator.
Note, it is theoretically possible that all 3 problems are caused by the BECM problem, but it is not very likely.
