Land Rover Repair: 00 Disco II Chirp and bang, brake caliper, wheel bearing

Hello.  When my 2000 disco 2 is rolling slowly, it sounds like a bird is chirping in rhythm with my speed.  Also, when I shift from park or reverse to drive(automatic), a loud bang sounds.  Is all this worth fixing or not?

Hi Paul,

could be a wheel bearing, brake caliper, CV joint, or transfer gearbox.  

Worth looking into by an independent LR mechanic or local garage.  The local garage can at least check out the first 3 possibilites, the TG is in the domain of the LR or an LR experienced mechanic.

The 'bang' has me puzzled - could it be driveshaft?
