Land Rover Repair: Windows on my 97 Land Rover, autologic, hi john

Hi John:  I tried to roll my windows down the other day in my Land Rover.  Nothing happened.  About five minutes later, I heard a beep and saw "Windows On" on my dash.  Great.  My windows rolled down and I enjoyed the breeze.  Went out later that evening to roll them up.  Nothing.  Let the car run a bit.  Nothing.  Today, I drove for about 20 minutes and they still won't roll up.  Are the windows controlled by a fuse?  Do you have any suggestions that I can try before I have to take it to a mechanic?  When I bought the car there was no owner's manual with it, and I still don't have one.  Is there someplace in the vehicle where I can turn my windows on and off?

The center console switch pack may be bad.  I suggest you find a LR specialist with the T4 or Autologic system and have it checked out before you get stuck.  As to the manual . . . you can go to www.landrovertechinfo.com and follow the links for "owner info."
