Land Rover Repair: 1996 dico radio replacement, sony cdx, keegan

I have a dead head unit for this vehicle.  Will I run into compatiblilty issues if I put an aftermarket deck in? (with the speaker system)

Hi Keegan,

other Disco owners have told me that it can be a nightmare.  I've been lucky to have no troubles with my radio.  

Then there is the security ecu link.  

I've vaguely remember that the Sony CDX 4000 ?  may be a good match ( I think it was CDX434RF).  

There are companies on the internet that specialize in exchanging your factory equipment with newer Panasonic, Alpine and even Clarion equipment.
