Land Rover Repair: My 02 Disco II, fan clutch, head gasket

Question
Hi, My coolant needs to be replaced every time i drive it. I can't spot a leak, I just put a replacement fan clutch in & the coolant seems to be disappearing at an even faster rate than before. Should I be looking harder for a leak? what is the likely problem? Will a diagnostic help identify the problem? It has 102k on it- is it common for this to be happening?

If the coolantn is not leaking onto the ground it may be going out the tailpipe, in which case you have a failed head gasket or a failure within the engine block.  There's an article that describes both in more detail on my website, www.robisonservice.com > service > rover > advice.

Either situation is kind of a big deal, I'm sorry to say.
