Land Rover Repair: 98 Discovery Sunroofs, ecu, best of luck

I just bought a 98 Discover I and neither one of the sunroofs open.  I hear a click when I hit the switches but no movement.  The fuse is alright.  It used to live in a rust producing environment (NY, now in Wyoming).  Do you think I'm looking at physically stuck sunroofs or a ground maybe?  Thanks.

Hi Zach,

you may have a sunroof controller problem.  The sunroof ecu should be under the overhead map pocket. Someone once said that they removed the ECU board, resoldered the suspect connections, reinstalled and was back in business.

I've never heard of the sunroof being rusted shut.  More likely its the ecu, wiring or the switch.
