Can you repair a 1995 Discovery alternator

We normally install new ones, as opposed to repairing old ones.  There are auto electric shops that fix alternators but I don't know of any to refer you to.  If you want to buy one yourself, I suggest Atlantic British, 800 533 2210 as they have a good price on a quality new part.
