I have a 1996 Disco SE7 and all the lights on the vehicle flicker constantly. It don't do it with the key in the on position. Alt. checks good, batt. is a new red top. confused.

It sounds like your alternator is going bad.  I suggest you have it tested and replace it if faulty.

If the lights flicker when the truck is running, but not when it's off, there is either a problem in the alternator or the wiring itself.

It's possible the trouble is in the wires or grounds instead of the alternator.  But it's also possible that you need a more skilled repair person to track this down.
