Land Rover Repair: Service engine light, obd ii scan tool, gas tank

I have a 2001 4.6 SE, the service engine light came on when the dealer ran the gas tank to low, or at least that is what they said. I have performed the service on this vehicle myself and would like to know how I can reset the light.

Answer
The light is on because there's a problem.  If there is no problem, the light would have gone off.  Its continued presence tell you there's something wrong.

You can find a shop with an OBD II scan tool and have them read the codes.  That's your next step.
