Land Rover Repair: Wont start when damp, atlantic canada, spray bottle

Hey there.  My 1995 Disco I will not start when it has rained, is raining, is really foggy or has snowed.  Since I live in Atlantic Canada, that is a bit of a problem.  She tries to trun over, just no spark in her.  It gets REALLY damp under the hood.  What can I do a)to get her going when she is damp  and b) keep her from getting so damp.  She has to sit outside at work.  Thanks and I appreciate it.  If you can't help, oh well.  I spent all last winter with her just sitting there too.

Your first step should be new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor if they are old.

I suggest you get a spray bottle of water and spray the motor as it idles in a dark area.  Watch for sparking.  Spray the coil and all ignition parts.  That may show additional problems
