A YELLOW WARNING LIGHT HAS STARTED TO COME ON BUT NOT ALL THE TIME JUST OCCASIONALY AND WE DIDNT GET A HANDBOOK WHEN WE BOUGHT THE CAR SO HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT IT IS

There are quite a few warnign lamps on a Rover dashboard.  There's not much way for me to tell you which one is on without seeing it.

You can buy owner's manuals online from eBay.  You can also subscribe to www.landrovertechinfo.com for a day and download the manuals for your car.  Owner's manuals are under the 'owner info' tab on their web site.
