Land Rover Repair: ABS Light?, break pads, abs computer
QuestionMy ABS light is on. It stays on all the time. What does this mean? I have a 1991 Range Rover. I've already replaced the break pads and rotors. Will I need to replace the whole system, if need be or just the switch? If so, where should I purchase the part(s)? Thank you very much for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Richard
AnswerIf you want to diagnose this yourself there is an article on www.rangerovers.net about blink code diagnosis. Personally, I have never found that method very effective but it's all you can do without one of teh specialist Land Rover test systems.
If you have a workshop with an Autologic or similar tool they can connect to the ABS computer and read the faults.
Good luck!
