Land Rover Repair: abs modulator failure, salvage yard, salvage yards

was given bad news from dealer re: fault in modulator $1800 part + time.  I read here that new diag tool is available for cost of $100 service @ 90% effective, but no one local knows about it (long island, NY).  Can you supply details and maybe a shop?

Hi Rich,

I'm not aware of any new diagnostic tool for $100, unless you are talking about an OBDII reader.  Nothing new there.

If you want to buy a salvaged part (low mileage could mean almost new part) then try searching www.car-part.com and save some money.

You can use this service to find a salvage yard near you.  Let me know how this turns out...hopefully with a part that's more than 50% below OEM at the dealer.  Most salvage yards could probably install the part too.
