The sunroof is jammed half tilted on my XEi station wagon Freelander.I believe that the right hand side has possibly jumped the rail but how do i check?

I'm sorry to report that you must drop the whole headlining and remove the sliding roof assembly to address the problem you describe.

Depending upon what broke, you could buy a complete sliding roof mechanism or a track.
