Land Rover Repair: serpentine belt not aligning with new water pump, john robison, serpentine belt

Question
new water pump fitted on 300 tdi but serpentine belt slips off water pump pulley as it is not alligned properly.
any advise or comments appreciated

The only answers I can think of are that you installed the wrong pump or you have the belt routed wrong.

Your owners manual should show the belt routing.  If not, you can buy a day's access to Land Rover's site www.landrovertechinfo.com and get the picture there.
