Land Rover Repair: Cooling system failure, rover service, system failure
Question
Hello mr. Robinson,
I recently changed my RR 97's thermostat due to it's overheating problem. After a week it begun overheating again. I went and asked to Land Rover service, they told my the bubbles (air) needed to be sucked out with a special process after flushing the cooling system. So I tried bleeding it, I thought I did fine but I still have the problem. Some people are now telling me it's the thermostat failure (stuck closed) so I am thinking to boil it a little bit hoping to sase money. What do you think the cause may be. Thank you for your time and help!
AnswerYour thermostat may indeed be bad, or you may have some other cooling system trouble. Why don't you try a new thermostat and if that does not fix it return to teh dealer because it may have internal damage like a bad heaad gasket.
Do not drive it in an overheated state
