My "service engine soon" light came on my 2003
Discovery,it has a rough idle and is runnig sluggish. Could it be a tunning problem or sensor
problem. 85,000 miles

Anyone with an OBD II scan tool can connect to the diagnostic plug beneath thesteering wheel and read any stored fault codes.

There are hundreds of things that can put the light on.

Once you retrieve the codes, you can look up what they mean and perform whatever tests are indicated.
