QuestionHi,
Re: 1995 Discovery 300 TDIs
Yesterday I changed the ignition barrel. Since doing this I have had no end of problems with the immobiliser. I don't think I disconnected it when I changed the ignition switch assembly.
Since then I have had the alarm go off once or twice.
The new key is on the key ring with the electronic key fob. Which I found it needs in order to start.
I have unsuccessfully tried to reset the immobiliser with the door switch method.
Is there any way I can reset the immobiliser to recognise the new ignition switch?
Thanks
Brian
AnswerYou don't have to program the new ignition barrel.
I think the problem will be the receiver coil at the barrel whic gets the signal from the key (with that it can identifies the key).
I think that coil or that plug will be the mistake.
Check that's connentor.
