Land Rover Repair: discovery engine cutting out, fuse box, discovery engine
Questioni have a 300 tdi disco on a 96 plate the engine keeps cutting out all the dash lights stay on when i check the fuel pump wire there is only about 10.9 volts down to 8.4 volts. i can put i live feed from the battery and the engine runs fine ps the engine will normaly fire back up within 5 mins and run ok till it does it again thanks barry
AnswerYour voltage is way too low, and you're at risk of damaging the electronics. You've got alternator problems or wiring problems. I'd start by measuring alternator output, and if good, following back to the fuse box and power panel.
The fuel pump wiring itself may be damaged - I've seen the connectors melt
