Land Rover Repair: 99 Disco II valve timing, inlet valves, abdc

Aside from a rattling catalytic converter  I have no problem at the moment.  I'm just looking for information on IVO, IVC, EVO, and EVC with respect to crank angle.

Hi Michael,

Inlet Valves Opens at 28° BTDC
Inlet Valves Close at 77° ABDC

Exhaust Valves Opens at 66° BBDC
Exhaust Valves Close at 39° ATDC

I've seen some vehicles with welded cuts in the catalytic pipes.  When asked, I was told someone had cut open the pipe and removed the broken plate then welded the cut closed.  Strange but true.
