Land Rover Repair: Rear Door Lock 98 Disco, deb, locks

Hi,

We have acquired a 98 Disco, and the rear door cannot be opened from outside or inside. The locks pop up, but the door remains stubbornly closed. My partner is good at fixing things - but we've not been able to sort it out so far

Any advice on this?

Hi Deb,

the fastest way to repair this is with the dealer.  They'll be able to do this quickly and correcty.  You could try this repair youself but it involves removing the rear door panel and perhaps swapping out parts until the right combo starts working.

You can try lifting up the rear door lock knob while someone opens the rear door from the outside.  Works for my Disco.
