QuestionThe rear windows on my 95 discovery do not work properly. Sometimes you can control them from the front controls, but they do not work from the back. now the window is down about 6 in and it won't go back up. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
AnswerHi CJ,
this is a common problem and most Disco owner's would tell you to wait until it decides to go back up.
The problem can have a number of causes, from faulty switches, window motor failures, window ECU failure, relay failures, fuse problems.
There is a website that mentions a fix:
www.discoweb.org
Look into the TECH section for any new clues to rear window problems.
Most likely, its a the central control unit that governs the console switches for the windows. Probably corrosion related.
Best of luck,
