Land Rover Repair: Engine Stall, advance auto parts, vacuum leak
QuestionHello,
97 DiscoI. While at cruise speeds (70 Mph) I get a momentary stall for a split second. This may only occur once in a 4 hour trip (but I do the trip often). There is also a slight drop in the RPM but if I give it more gas during this event nothing occurs and as soon as its over the engine picks right up. Today it happened again but was almost a bucking stall/run for about 2 seconds then it went away. Never has occured driving in the city, or at low speeds or heavy power demands.
Thanks,
Brandon
AnswerHi James,
could be a (Throttle Positions Sensor) problem, vacuum leak, injectors fouling, fuel feed problem (pump, filter, tank, product), coil failure, spark amplifier module is about to fail.
Was there a "Check Engine" light on your dashboard? If so, have someone (Advance auto parts) read your OBDII display and send me any codes that were triggered.
Best of luck,
JohnMc
