Hi Osiah,

if your LR engine is misfiring...it could be related to a known problem with the exhaust valves sticking.  If you have a new Series II Discovery, this is possible once you've acquired 60,000miles or more.  

Misfire is usually load related or if exhaust backup is happening.  Only a LR dealer can tell if its a valve job that needs to be performed ($2000 US)

Most euro-mechanics can hook up a OBDII reader and check for errors.
