QuestionI have a 1996 ES300 with 60,000 miles.
Two questions.
1. What things should I get done for 60,000 tune up?
2. At idle or coming to a stop after driving, the steering wheel vibrates a little bit. Engine is vibrating or breathing a bit hard then when it was brand new. What could be the problem here and how can I resolve it.
So far, I got air filer and transmission fluid changed at 30,000 miles. I've been doing oil change at every 3K miles and I've added STP fuel injection cleaners once every year.
Should I always use 91 Octane gas instead of 87 that I've been using?
Thanks,
Roger
AnswerHello Roger,
1. AT 60k miles I would have the following items done: Transmission flush, brake flush, coolant flush, replace air filter, spark plugs change, throttle body service, tire rotation, inspect brakes, inspect evap system and suspension.
2. Are you getting any CEL? I would insepct the hoses, spark plugs
3. 87 is fine. We didn't have any problem with lower octane grade gas. Unlike the VVT-I model, it's a different story.
