Mazda Repair: mazda protege 2000, vacuum leak, mazda protege

My car sputters and stalls at  lights. Could a bad plug wire be the cause of this? I looked at the Mas sensor and it looked clean.

yes a bad plug can cause stalling while at an idle

other causes can be

vacuum leak
idle speed needs adjusting
bad fuel filter or bad gas
or bad emission components just to name the common ones


start simple and go from there

if you think or see a bad plug or wire start there

don't go adjusting things you don't know how to or have the proper specs or tools for either you may due more harm then good
