Mazda Repair: a/c, mazda b2300, engine temp

mazda b2300---a/c compressor doesn't kick on until i drive the truck for awhile.  once it kicks on a/c is cold and works properly.

normally ac's don't kick on until the engine is at a proper rpm the ac puts a large load on the engine and if the ac was able to kick on when the engine rpm wasn't correct it would put to much or a load on the engine.  also some are controled by the engine temp sensor
