Mazda Repair: 2001 626 AutomaticTransmission, valve body, solenoid
QuestionHi - on a 2001 626, v6. Automatic Transmission is experiencing a delayed shift from 2nd to 3rd when cold. I suspect a stuck solenoid. There are no trouble codes. I can access the valve body by removing the battery. Is it difficult to replace the solenoid? Any other suggestions as to what it might be. My Mazda has the gf4a-el transmission. Thanks for the help.
Answermust solenoids are easy to replace just make sure you have the proper one and follow the repair manual to the letter. any auto tranny repair i always suggest you have it inspected and repaired by a tranny shop it's not something i'd suggest for the do-it yourselfer
