my trans seems sluggish and my temp meter does not register is my car overheating

well it all depends, is there coolant coming out of the overflow tank when this happenes? and it should be the engine feeling lugish, there may also a poosiblity that you only need a tune up. get back to me with more information then i will be able to help you out a little bit more.
