Mazda Repair: door panel removal, toyota toyota, mazda 323

I am stumped.  I am trying to remove a door panel on an 87 toyota (toyota maxed out) which is nearly the same as my 89 mazda 323.
I can remove everything  but the "bezel" surrounding the door handle.  It should come off leaving the handle/lock in tact and then the panel can be removed.
What is the problem?

Hi Joe thanks for asking
there should be a srew righ in behind the handle and once you have that removed "bezel" will either have to be forced to the right or the left i forget which way, but there are clips on the backside of the bezel. you just gota put some pressure on it to get teh clips to slide out.
