Mercedes Benz repair: Wiper Blade Catch, windshield wiper, mbenz

Question
I just got a 1988, 300e Benz, with the single blade assembly. While changing the blade, the arm latched at about a 45 degree, and for the life of me I can't find a release. Any ideas would be great.  Thanks for your time. Greg
