QuestionMercedes Benz 380SE, 1985 sedan. The back right window (in
door) is inactive, in the down position. The power control
button activates the motor, which I can hear, but the window
does not move. It seems to be off it's track or whatever
mechanism it is supposed to be attached to. I need to know
how to open the door panel to look at what is actually wrong,
and I need to know how the window is supposed to be
configured in its correct position.
AnswerAnswer:
You have a W126 S-Class Sedan.
Chassis W126.032
Engine M116.961 V8
Model 380SE
Years 1984-85
Horse Power 155
Weight 3685
This sounds like the window regulator roller or window regulator has failed.
