Mercedes Benz repair: Oil Consumption, valve stem seals, oil consumption

I have a 1993 Mercedes 300se..I am using about a qt. of oil every ten days...is there any thing that can be done to slow the consumption down?

Valve guides, valve stem seals and rings are 99%, if the ten days = 300-500 miles.
There is only one way to to assure the issue is fixed correctly.
