Mercedes Benz repair: Electric window motor, mercedes benz 300d, mercedes benz 300

Question
I am trying to remove the electric window motor from a 1986/87 Mercedes Benz 300 turbo diesel. Upon raising the window (driver's side) the teeth of the riser swing arm jump in the drive gear. Also the limit switch does not stop the motor in the closed  position. I am assuming there is a limit switch.

That sounds like a broken window regulator.

There is no limit switch.
