Mercedes Benz repair: Mercedes 190E (1990) - Electromagnetic Cooling Fan, mercedesshop, shopforum

Hi

I have a Mercedes 190E from 1990 (1.8L petrol engine) and there's a problem with the electromagnetic cooling fan. When the fan energises, the back plate behind the pulley rotates and the wiring is pulled off.

What I'd like to know is either how to repair the fan or the procedure to replace it.
