WHEN IT WARMS UP IT WON'T ACCELERATE SOMETIMES IF YOU STEP ON THE GAS REAL SLOW IT WILL GO ONCE YOU HIT ABOUT 40 MPH IT RUNS FINE IT'S ONLY HAS PROBLEMS WHEN YOU STOP AND THEN TRY TO ACCELERATE

I can not determine if this is engine performance or transmission.

Here is the only cheap/simple test for what you describe.

Catalytic converter test.
Disconnect the exhaust from manifold, securely support the pipe with a binder strap, a short drive around the block will answer if the catalytic converter is plugged.
