Mercedes Benz repair: 420 Sel Console light, 420sel, security module

whunter, I have a 420 sel 1987.  When I turn the car on all of the console indicator lights come on and stay on.  What could be causing this?  Is there a power pulling from a area of the car?  I battery that I have is only three months old.  When I started the car up and allow it to warm up, after 15 mins I turned the car off and it would not turn over.  It was as though the battery was failing.  After allowing the car to sit several hours(8+ hrs) with trying it again, the car started back up.  The only thing is I am still seeing all of the car indicators along the console.

This sounds almost as if the security module is active = shutting down the engine electrical to prevent theft.

If this fails to resolve your issue, take it to your local MB dealer, or independent MB specialty shop.
