What is the best why to get the timing on a 71 mercades , with out a timing light? were is top dead center? and which way should i turn the fuel injection pump after ive got top dead center? i hope you can hepl me , THANK YOU

Sorry for the inconvent, but it a diesel engine, and im just learn about them, i just got two trucks with the powerstrokes 7.3 turbo diesel ones f250 6speed auto that iv changed from a manual (that was a pain'n........) its chip for performance and  fsuper heaveyduty that i cant find any info on power workhorse. but this mercades is difficulet with it being all mechanical.. and no computer
