 hello
 i purchased a set of drilled front disk for my 89 300-e do i need any special tools or will they just slip on after removing the caliper.  

Answer
A six millimeter Allen wrench to remove the Brake Disc Set Screw.
Replace all old/used Disc Set Screws with NEW Disc Set Screws.
Allen wrench. A tool consisting of an L-shaped bar with a hexagonal head, used to turn screws with hexagonal sockets.
